1972 March 722 Formula Atlantic

£39,950

This very well sorted Atlantic spent all its life in North America until imported by the current owner in 2018.

Originally owned by Alan Lader who won the 1972 Formula B Championship, the March was later owned and run by Dale Coyne – who subsequently became an Indycar driver and Team Owner. Since arriving in the UK the car has been driven by its owner Bob Birrell and also raced by Bob Juggins and Martin Bullock, achieving outright and class victories.

Fitted with a Cosworth BDD which was originally built and maintained in North America by VDS Engines and subsequently fully rebuilt by Tim Close at the end of the 2022 season. Dyno sheets show excellent power and torque outputs, and the engine has only competed in four races since. The gearbox is a correct Hewland FT200 which has been regularly inspected and checked.

Completely restored in the US with a new Bahner tub, the 722 has been very well maintained, developed and run by Absolute Race Engineering since arriving in the UK. It is offered for sale with an excellent spares package which includes:

• 2 sets of wheels with low mileage slicks and wets
• a set of new unpainted bodywork including rear wing, front wings, engine cover and main body/nose section
• 2 side radiators with stone-guards
• ratios
• silencer
• starter motor
• springs

Complete with a history file and a current HTP valid until 31 Dec 2030. Tremendous value for money, with no offers at this price.
