1966 Jaguar E Type FHC

This stunning Series 1 E Type has clearly been well cared for throughout its life, as evidenced by its large and detailed history file. This includes specialist mechanical work exceeding £15,000 in 2008 (incorporating an engine rebuild around 16,000 miles ago) and further expenditure in excess of £22,000 since being purchased by its current owner in 2013, including:

– Complete interior re-trim

– 123 electronic ignition

– New door locks/ window mechanisms overhauled

– Twin fuel pumps with switch over fitted

– Geared starter motor

– Wider wire wheels and Pirelli tyres

– New differential

– Rebuilt brakes with new brake hoses and calipers

– Battery immobiliser

– Spax adjustable shock absorbers fitted

Not surprisingly the Jaguar drives extremely well, with good oil pressure, a smooth gearbox and effective brakes. Although an older restoration the E is extremely solid with very good bodywork. Attractively finished in Opalescent Silver Blue with immaculate Blue interior.

Complete with a detailed history file including numerous invoices and a CD of the engine rebuild. Also a substantial spares kit including hoses, plugs etc – everything you could possibly need for long distance touring.

No longer fitted with its original engine but offered at a very realistic price for a Series 1 in arguably the best colour scheme.
